REFUND/RETURN POLICY 3 BUSINESS DAYS Animals or products for refund/return must be in original condition Receipt must be present for refund Returns/Exchanges/Refunds of animals or products not in original condition or packaging will be at the discretion of store management

The above policy has been clearly posted and in effect since we reopened in our new location
at 12315 Wetmore Rd. in November 2006.
Clarifications: These clarifications in no way alter or expand our policy, but further detail its
intent and hopefully explain why our policy is the way it is.
*"3 business days" - Pet Frontier's business days are Tuesday through Sunday, closed
Mondays and major holidays. If the return period includes a Monday or a major holiday we
will allow extra day(s) to compensate. We find this allows ample time for our customers to
determine if a product or animal meets their expectations.
*"original condition" The condition in which the product or animal left Pet Frontier at the time
of purchase. This includes any retail packaging INTACT and no alterations of any kind to an
animal including, but not limited to clipped wings, spay/neuter, and overall health. The
refund/return policy time period is designed to allow our customers to return items which may
not fit or are not appropriate for the purpose for which they were purchased. The
refund/return policy IS NOT designed to allow for temporary use of an item.
*"Receipt must be present for refund" We offer discounts, coupons, in store specials, and
package deals on a regular basis and without a receipt we have no way of verifying what you
paid for an item or animal. Pet Frontier receipts are very detailed and list description of the
item and any discounts that occurred.
*"discretion of store management" At Pet Frontier we want to accommodate our customers as
best we can if a product or animal fails to meet their expectations. When a product is returned
either opened or not in the original packaging, it is typically not resaleable in our store. In
some cases for certain products there may be manufacturer's guarantees which we can utilize
for our customer or the customer can contact the manufacturer directly. Many products
instruct that if the customer is not satisfied with the performance of a product, they are to
contact the manufacturer directly and not the retail store in which the product was purchased.
Pet Frontier stands behind the products we stock and the animals we provide. If it is clear
that the product or animal failed to meet our customers needs or expectations due to a
condition that existed prior to purchase, we will do all that we can to facilitate an exchange or
refund within the return/refund period.
For all our customer's protection Pet Frontier will NOT allow return/refund/exchange if any of
the following occur:
Open Food, Bedding, Treatments, or other consumable items that are either consumed
directly by or come in direct contact with an animal.
Soiled or obviously worn clothing or other accessories beyond a simple try-on.
Animals which have obviously been mistreated or inappropriately cared for to an extent to
cause severe health problems or death. We reserve the right to conduct an interview to
determine if proper housing, diet, water, and other basic necessities were provided to the
animal. In some cases we may confiscate the animal and file a report with the appropriate
authorities if there appears to be intentional neglect.
Aquatic fish and animals that exhibit severe health problems or death within the 3 business
day return period WILL NOT be refunded or exchanged without a satisfactory water sample,
receipt, and specimen. A satisfactory water sample will test negative or near negative for
ammonia and nitrites, and nitrate level below 80ppm. Sample must be in a clean, appropriate
container (we recommend sandwich size zipped plastic baggie). Temperature range typically
77-81F, higher for discus and other warm water species. Any aquatic fish or animal that has
apparently been eaten or intentionally killed by a tankmate WILL NOT be refunded or
exchanged.
